a new quiz | You scored as SG-1 (Stargate). You are versatile and diverse in your thinking. You have an open mind to that which seems highly unlikely and accept it with a bit of humor. Now if only aliens would stop trying to take over your body.

wow, it has been awhile...
I didnt realize I hadnt been on here in so long... but I guess I'm allowed to lose track of time. Well, I've been living in my apartment with my 2 roommates for 6 months now, and sure we can have some disagreements, but on the whole... I think things are going well. I'm happy here, and just wondering on whats gonna happen come April.... renewing lease or finding another place to move to... Lets see, my schedule at work has become pretty static... I have Mon - Fri 1:30 - 10pm... which I enjoy. I like being able to sleep in late and not having to worry about when I pass out... Of course there is a downside to my hours... very few other people work the same schedule as me, so it seems I dont have as much social interaction as I would like. Oh sure, my roomies are usually around when I get home and I get to talk to my coworkers... but the 'hanging out' thing doesn't happen except for the weekends. And as of late since we haven't been doing the whole roleplaying thing, Saturday's has been taken up mostly by us playing Magic and/or watching movies. And Sunday's have been football-athons. Now dont get me wrong, I love me my football, but... the weekend goes by too fast... and I don't know: I guess I want more. (I know this is gonna be hell for anyone to read who is somewhat anal about grammer and punctuation) At any rate... not that anyone will be surprised by this one... but here is the result of the X-Man quiz that I stole from Amanda | You scored as Gambit. Gambit is another loner character. He loves Rogue. He has a very cool deboner personality. He's done things in his past that he's not proud of but he atones for his actions by fighting for peace with the X-Men. His weapon of choice is the playing card. Powers: Charges objects with kinetic energy by touching them, then they explode like grenades.

Overworked
WHY AM I SO TIRED???.... For a couple years I've been blaming it on lack of sleep, not enough sunshine, too much pressure from my job, ear wax build-up, poor blood or anything else I could think of. But now I found out the real reason: I'm tired because I'm overworked. Here's why: The population of this country is 273 million. 140 million are retired. That leaves 133 million to do the work. There are 85 million in school. Which leaves 48 million to do the work. Of this there are 29 million employed by the federal government. Leaving 19 million to do the work. 2.8 million are in the armed forces preoccupied with killing Saddam Hussein. Which leaves 16.2 million to do the work. Take from that total the 14.8 million people who work for state and city governments. And that leaves 1.4 million to do the work. At any given time there are 188,000 people in hospitals. Leaving 1,212,000 to do the work. Now, there are 1,211,998 people in prisons. That leaves just two people to do the work. You and Me. And there you are sitting on your ass, at your computer, reading jokes. Nice, real nice. finally! its upon me
By this time tomorrow, I should be in the process of carrying heavy type things into my new apartment. Which means there is only 1 more night for me to sleep on the damn pull out couch in the living room of my parents house. I'm glad that its about to be over. Don't get me wrong, I love my family, but I long ago decided that their home is a good place to visit and I don't want to live there. I know its been an inconvienence to have me on the fold out... and it has certainly been the same for me... often times being woken up 2 or 3 times during a nights sleep. With the new place comes further responsibility. Allthough in the end, it was hell living at Jess' place, there were a few good things about being there. Firstly, the rent was cheaper. Granted the living conditions and neighborhood weren't anything great... but it wasn't as horrible as it could have been. Secondly, since we will be in an apartment... we will have to be conscious of the noise level we create. We will have neighbors directly above us, behind us and to the side of us... so we can't let noise escalate too loudly. But all in all, I look forward to the peace of mind of living with Bill and Chris. Now that sounds funny thinking about it... but I have lived with Chris the last 6 months, and found that we do get along great as roommates... and I practically lived with Bill for a summer instead of staying in the dorm room... so I look forward to the new living accomadations. It may be a couple nights before I'm back on FFXI, but thats ok... I've gone several months before... so I can handle a few days. That is news in my world tonight! Wish me luck and few complications (I just know there will be some) edit: Here are the results from my test...
Time Mage You scored 16% physical, 70% magic, 16% versatile, and 33% good! |
| You control a very specific branch of magic: Manipulation of space and time. You are capable of making time flow more quickly for your allies and making your enemies slow down, or even stop. You can also manipulate space, creating localized gravity wells or redirecting the focus of other spells. On the downside, when your friends need something else, you can't do much. |
|
My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
|
You scored higher than 1% on physical |
|
You scored higher than 94% on mystical |
|
You scored higher than 3% on versatile |
|
You scored higher than 11% on good |
| Although it shouldnt surprise anyone that I got a mage job... I'm actually shocked I got Time Magic... while its cool... everyone knows that I want to blast things with fire, and prefferably lots of it. I didnt even pick Haste on the question that referenced Time Magic.... weird Current Mood: hopefulCurrent Music: Semisonic -- Sunshine and Chocolate | | Sunday, April 10th, 2005 | | 2:05 am |

I shall share it with you all. Fair warning, this flash type thing will occupy A LOT of your time. I think it ran about 40 minutes. really REALLY confused
ok, so since the computer is in the room that I have been sleeping in, I'm using it to record my dreams... temporarily. And I'm doing this quickly cause this one was weird. I was in a large auditorium, it seemed that all of these people were arranged in it like assemblies in elementary school. Hundreds of people all spread out on the floor indian style. Only everyone was around my age (mid twenties). The only person in the group that I knew was my friend Luis (plenty of stories about him) and he sat to my left. I was the furthest to the right I could be and there was a good deal of space between me and the wall, a maeshift aisle if you will. I don't remember most of the so-called assembly, but for some reason the last part of it was like final jeopardy. The jeopardy screens were at the front, and I remember being able to read them (which never would have happened due to horrible eyesight) However, the last question was decidedly not in jeopardy fashion. For some reason we needed to name 8 places that Mogli journeyed to within the movie The Jungle Book. I don't know why this popped into my sub-conscious, but that was one of my favorite movies when I was little... I could still sing Bear-neccessities if I wanted to, but I prefer to spare everyone the pain my singing voice would call. At any rate, there wasn't anyway to buzz in, so we just started shouting and I got yelled at for participating too much... so while the rest of the 'class' was trying to answer the question, I started listening to Luis talk about this right wing friend of his who is a state-trooper that hates women and life, is a real hard ass and is trying to get into congress (No clue where this came from). So Luis is telling this story about how if he accidnetally or intentionally killed someone, he would write a note in the dead guys hand writing explaing on how the deceased was coming on to him by coming out of the closet and it had freaked Lu out so much that he had been forced to kill him. And that the state trooper would ok it somehow. The story continued after that but I had already forgot the rest of it... I just remember backing his story up saying that I've lived a street over from him for like 12 years and that most of this kinda stuff happens.... Like I said, very strange.... but I enjoy my sub-conscious... At any rate, time for breakfast, catch you all later! Current Mood: (barely) awakeCurrent Music: Vana'diel March | | 12:13 am |

I agree with a lot of what it says about me however, and I find that disturbing. Oh, and Chris, you should have warned me that there were like 100 freaking questions.... im exhausted and thought it would be quick!! oh and here's this one too! the reults of this didn't shock me, as this is what I scored on the scantron version that I took in pharmacy school. However, that was my first semester there before I had started to open up... and I was much more extremist... I was 97% introverted vs 3% extroverted then... so it makes sense that as I have grown as an individual, my scores would be closer towards the middle... well that was fun...
I finally finished packing the rest of my crap and shuttling it back and forth to my parents place... ugh. Again, thanks are due to Kev for helping Chris and myself move all sorts of heavy things that the neon is just not equipped to handle. I saw /her/ again this morning but was as civil as I always am. She apparently wasnt aware that Chris had already left for good this morning, and that I was leaving imminently. After straightening up and quadruple checking that I havent left anything behind (which I probably still did), I left Chris and my keys squarely on the RPG table (cleaned off) locked up and did a little jig on my way out. I think the hardest thing was saying goodbye to Menacious. I loved that little ball of fur.. and I think she knew we were leaving. Well for the time being I have internet access... until I move into my new place on April 16th. and then the wait will be unknown.... hopefully I'll be able to hhok up my ps2 while im here, but I dont know... my parents are kinda weird about things like that... and considering I dont have my own room... it makes things difficult. Good news on the FFXI front, I finally saved up and bought a noble's bed... can't wait to be done with that quest and have an inv of 80 items in my mog house. Damn it for costing 146,000 gil... and the results from the quiz... well there it is... though for some reason it keeps resetting to nose job... not what I picked... and Katie is stalking me? kinda impressive from 1700 miles away! :P I know someone who would be jealous of these results... ah if only my actual life might be this entertaining... gotta love that duo of Jay and Silent-Bob hooray... Walgreens decided I shouldn't have to work 8 days in a row and so they gave me today off... (I think it was more of their fear of OT than the generosity that lies in their hearts, but I'll take it) And so my schedule is completely Un-Normal this week. Instead of my usual Thurs-Fri off.... I have today (tues) and this coming Sun instead. Which means that if a certain Secretwhisper wasnt in France we could totally static for a long time Saturday (not that working the next day would stop me) No biggie... my Dragoon job could use some leveling. can't think of anything more to add at the moment... again with the stupidity...
A few days ago, I linked to a story of a teenager being charged with conspiracy of terrorism over a story about zombies attacking his highschool. And I thought, "Hey, that's pretty dumb." I also thought "How much more stupid could someone get?" http://www.local6.com/money/4239256/detail.htmlthis is how stupid... and for Clevinger's opinion on it see below... You won't be surpised to learn that some moron hurt himself while doing this. And, of course, the parents blame the building. I love this quote by the family's crooked lawyer: "There was a very, very short length of fence that was completely ineffective in preventing this from happening."
Goddamn fences! How dare your presence not cause little Tim's glue-huffed mind to rub together two idle brain cells while he was squeezing through you and think to himself "Huh, wonder why this stupid fence is here." Way to drop the ball, fence. And don't look so smug, Tim's Front Door. You let him out of the house. We're coming after you next.
On the bright side, this really opens up a wonderful opportunity for the rest of us. I don't know about you, but my car has wheels. Four of them. You tend to be too polite for your own good sometimes which may be depicted as snobbish. You are very nice and compassionate but you aren't afraid to let others know when you're mad, it is more of a bodily sign mostly in the eyes. You love light and try to cheer up that one gloomy person but it is like night and day. You can't help it though. in typical fashion...
Argh, why is it that when you want to do a simple thing like work an 8 hour shift, anything and everything attempts to complicate the matter to the point where painful tortue at the hands of pygmies sometimes seems like an interesting relief from everyday life? Needless to say, work was absolutely thrilling earlier, what with insufficient and incompetant staffing, to the extra work related problems due to the beginning few days of the month... So, the next two days I plan on vegging alot... oh and some evil spirit possessed me and forced me to agree to fill in for another employee next Thurs and Fri... so counting them all... I will be working 8 days in a row... good for paycheck, bad for sanity. ohh and the newest of quizzes... You are 'programming in QBASIC'. This programming language (of which the acronym stands for 'Quick Beginners' All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code'), which is so primitive that it cannot easily be used for any purpose involving the Internet nor even sound, was current more than a decade ago. You are independent, in a good way. When something which you need cannot be found, you make it yourself. In writing and in talking with people, you value clarity and precision; your friends may not realize how important that is. When necessary, you are prepared to be a mediator in conflicts between your friends. You are very rational, and you think of things in terms of logic and common sense. Unfortunately, your emotionally unstable friends may be put off by your devotion to logic; they may even accuse you of pedantry and insensitivity. Your problem is that programming in QBASIC has been obsolete for a long time. What obsolete skill are you? brought to you by Quizillahah! passing of a friend
This isn't going to be terribly long for two reasons... 1. Not good at these types of things 2. I wouldn't do justice... But its been on my mind for a few days and will help me relieve some tension/stress. My roommate of a few years ago (while in college) passed away last week. I'm still not sure of the cause, in fact the only thing I know is that it happened in his sleep in his apartment in Ft Lauderdale. Robert Matthew Booker, was more than a roommate for two years, he was one of my best friends. He helped me break the major introvertedness I used to suffer from (as most college roommates can). We did nearly everything together during our 2 years in CLC-117 and I'm gonna miss the hell out of him. So if I've seen out of it or depressed, here's the reason...
